LT1 gurus, I have a quick question

I think I am in business as far as obtaining all that is required to do the LT1 manifold swap on my '91 Z28. Right now it is a bone stock 350, with gutted cats. My question is will installing just the manifold hurt my performance until I'm able to afford heads/cam/headers this summer? The car isnt being used much right now since I'm in school but every time I go home I feel the need to dig in and modify, I'm sure most of you can relate, the only problem is that I dont have the funds to do everything at once. Over the summer I work at GM, so I'll be able to finish the engine and exhaust. What do you think? Will this hurt performance/drivability? Thanks to all those who are more knowledgeable than I

Yes, you'll lose torque for a minor HP gain. I'd wait and do it all at once personally, since having the intake off makes the heads easy to get to and you might as well make the most of it.
