The LT1 Swap Continues

For anyone who has done or is attempting this swap here's a little info. The PCV loops are different on LT1s and L98s, and heres how I fixed it. Instead of looping out and back into the manifold like it did on my LT1 manifold, I made it go from the manifold to the valve cover like it did on the L98. Now I have a huge hole on the manifold... but when in doubt... turn to Mopar. Yes, don't hit me, but I have a Mopar part on my car. As it turns out, a master cylinder resivoir gasket fit perfectly to block the hole and prevent a huge vacuum leak. Good luck to the rest of you.

Thanks, that's a good thing to know. On my LT4 intake, I ended up grinding a good bit of the lip for the hole away so I just ended up filling it in with a quality 2 part putty epoxy from the outside so there's no way it could fall in to the lifter valley (if it was able to get by the oil heat shield first). I then smoothed it and painted it. Hopefully I can get some pics of it up next week when I finally get to go back home and finish it (classes starting really interfered with my progress).

So lemme get this straight. You took a nice PCV system (clean and unobtrusive) and cobbled that together?

It would have been easier to just use another passenger side valve cover and delete the existing PCV hole on the drivers side.

The LT1 PCV system is pretty slick. And if you put Corvette injector covers on, its hidden.

We will be using the Lt1's PCV loop as soon as we go do a heads/cam setup in the spring and at that time get valve covers, and the corvette fuel rail covers. But till then a nice cheap plug works.
