I'm looking for thoughts, comments, suggestions from those who are using Hawk's reproduction fuel sending unit assembly for TPI. I think I need a new one.
Which one were you looking at? The one for $215 looks like a Spectra unit you could get for $100 less on rockauto. The only currently available repro I was aware of was the Spectra. I did see Hawks offers a completely refurbed OEM unit, not cheap but might be worth it for piece of mind and OEM fit.
Keep us posted on which way you go, I’ve researched this in anticipation of the fuel pump wearing out.
Looked over my notes again, I almost forgot that I found Classic Industries sells one too from what looks like OER who says it’s a Delco unit. Price is only $75

Think I'll give that OER unit a go. The price is right. Hopefully the quality is close.
Will let everyone know how it compares to the original.
If I'm not happy with it, I will look into the Hawk's refurbished unit.
