90 305 iroc z help distribution cap
I need help guys! So I replaced the distributor cap and rotor on my 1990 iroc z 305 tpi and now it won’t start. What did I do wrong? It will crank but not start

Check the wire that goes from the coil to the center cap, double check every connection to verify the clips are fully seated. Look for any wires that might have gotten loose around the distributor area. Double check firing order, one wire at a time.
Also, you could try reinstalling the old parts to verify the new parts are not defective.

make sure you rotor is on the correct orientation and you put all the plug wires back in right order

okay so apparently I had put two in the wrong spot 🤦♂️. So i corrected them. Now it has a slight misfire. Could I have damaged the cables and spark plugs? Should I change everything out?

if you are absolutley sure everything in correct order and rotor orientated correctly (not off slightly, the notch should take care of that) then check timing. maybe your dist bolt is loose and you accidentally turned the dist. a bit
