Can someone give me a basic rundown of the pros and cons of both of these? (Motor is an L98 / 91 GTA
Also, I have a few basic questions..
Vortec, FI or Carb?
What do I have to buy with the SR to get it up and going, likewise for the Vortec
Annd..retail on both of these?

I did a search for both of these, read old posts for hoours but could not find a solid comparison of the two..thanks in advance guys

 

Also..which set up is better for the street?
Planning on keepin' this thing as a daily driver..forever.. ;>

 

Are you talking about a Vortec Supercharger or Vortec heads? Eather way you'll be comparing a Supercharger to an intake (SuperRam) or heads to an Intake

Instead of Vortec you might mean MiniRam?

 

I thought Vortec was intake that required it's own heads? Ah well-I posted this at 3 AM

 

Its just the base thats different on the vortec setup, the superram should bolt up fine.

 

he thought the vortec was a regular tpi base. the vortec tpi base is just that, a tpi for vortec heads. vortec heads and standard heads are not the same. our style of tpi bolts to standard heads. also, you could get the super ram's plenum and runners, and stick it on the vortec tpi base with vortec heads, that would be a screamer.
