I had mine bead blasted and ceramic coated inside and out by a professional shop.
I wanted shiny, but I didn't want to put in the effort to polish it only to have to keep polishing it to keep it looking nice.
I also poorly installed an aluminum oil splash screen for the underside and coated it in a teflon spray coating. I just measured and ordered a precut sheet online and used the bolt holes that FIRST uses when CNCing the intake openings to a larger gasket size.
Hey, TECHNICALLY my car is a "third gen", too... ;-)
Aren't ALL engines with aluminum long-runner intakes, though?
The ultra long Max Wedge Chrysler engines, TPI, the Holley Sniper Dual Plenum Cross-Ram intake for LS engines, they're all GORGEOUS; they all have long-runners. *The Defense Rests, Your Honor!*
My laziness does make mine hopefully look better for longer without lots of work. (Anodized valve covers and ceramic coated intake hopefully means no time wasted on polishing.)
