Tall valve cover clearance
My 305 spun a bearing so I'm swapping in a slightly built 350 and migrating the TPI, and along with that I would like to use a set of tall milodon valve covers I have laying around and was wondering if they would clear the serpentine and TPI on an 86 with AC.

Re: Tall valve cover clearance
I have a 350 TPI with serpentine in my 87 Monte Carlo SS. I too wanted to get tall valve covers but it appears the alternator stud will hit the corner of the DS valve clover. With the aftermarket heads, with taller valve cover rails and thick gaskets, the alternator stud is pretty close now. I put a plastic thing over it. I could clock the alternator to move the stud away from the valve cover but I would lose the support connection at the bottom rear. Good luck.
