LB9 heads

Did anyone ever open up the LB9 heads with the bigger intake valve ? Looking for real life experience with LB9 heads on a 350 short block.

Re: LB9 heads

Dad bought an old Chevy Coupe once that had a dish piston flat tappet 350 with LB9 heads #081s, it ran fine best I remember a very mild engine. I just remember it having the same heads as my 91 Z28 at the time when we went to change valve cover gaskets.

Re: LB9 heads

I'm fascinated by my LB9 heads. Low cc. Put in bigger valves, slap them on a ZZ4 short block. Figure 10:1 compression.
anyone ever try it ?

Re: LB9 heads

I had them on a old flat top piston 350 from a police car once. Didn't do a whole lot different driving or at the track. Not sure how much bigger of a valve you could get in them.
mill 350 heads and use a thin headgasket should be as good id think.
