Hey there. Few more question. I have been smelling some hot coolant around the windshield dash area, like where the coolant would be reaching the heater core, and only when i have the heater or defroster on. Any ideas? Does it leak or something? hmm.. Thanks in advance

Yeah, heater core is probably starting to leak. One day it will spill all over your leg :P its best to change it now.

well when mine went out i got a pool of anti freeze on my passanger side floor

i would guess its dying... u might wana take care of it b4 u get the same prob i had

that was my old car btw ...

So i tore apart the dash to get at the heater core, and then ran with the heat for about 35 min with the heater core uncovered and when i stopped I was looking around it for any coolant or smell of any, and nothing. I went looking to the left of the plenum / distributor area for the inlet hoses and i didnt smell anything their either... If when I did smell the coolant it was comming from the windshield wiper area do you think its the inlet hoses that are leaking an the core is fine? Hmm thanks in advance
