I am currently seeking a complete TPI setup, including the manifold, throttle body, fuel rails, and all associated bolts. The reason for this is that the thermostat bolt on my vehicle has broken off, and the extraction tool I’ve used is now stuck in the hole. Despite attempting various methods, including welding, I have been unable to remove it. If anyone has a complete TPI setup for sale, I would greatly appreciate your help. Please feel free to respond to this post.

Welcome Jon and nice to see a young person have interest in these cars. Nice Z28 you got there.

From what you are saying, it sounds like at most you need the lower intake manifold (base). I don't see why you would need to entire setup. You will have to tear the whole TPI system down to swap the lower intake and then put it back together with new gaskets.

What you will need is a TPI lower manifold from an '87-'92 Camaro/Firebird. Don't get one from a Corvette, they are different.

You could post up a want ad in the classifieds here or there are a bunch for sale on Ebay.

You could also likely bring your existing lower base to a machine shop and they can probably repair it, possibly for less than the cost of a used replacement.

Also, while you're in there, it's a good time to take a look at your fuel injectors. If they are the original Multec injectors with the gray colored bodies, they should be replaced.

Basic mechanics tool set (sockets, ratchets, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.). You will also need a Torx socket set and I would recommend using an inch pound torque wrench for the intake manifold and runner bolts. You should be able to reuse all of the bolts.

You’ll need a timing light as well to reset the base ignition timing since you will need to pull the distributor.

It’s not a hard project, just a bit tedious and detailed. Go slow, take photos and get yourself at least a Chilton’s manual but better yet a GM service manual.

I have a TPI base, and 113 heads for sale. I will separate them, if you just want the base. Long Island

Before you go any further, take some pictures and let’s see what you have to work with.
