Hard starting and raw gas
When i start my car up in the morning, and even after it sits for an hour or 2 its hard to start and when it does start, its a blub blub blub type of start till it really kicks in and idles rough for about the first 2 mins and stinks of raw gas. Do i have a leaky injector? Is the pressure being let out and flooding my cylinders? Do i need new injectors? They are the stock injectors 19# on my 305 TPI. I was thinking of buying the Accell injectors that are the same price as the SVO's... Any help will be appreciated!

yeah..you gotta check your FP. Hook up a FP guage to the fuel rail. Turn the key to the "on" position but dont start car. Let the pump prime the system, then turn the key back "off". Go check out the guage and watch it. You should hold constant FP for quite a while.....if the guage is dropping off, you have a leaking injector(s) which are notorious for your hard start conditions and rich initial start up conditions.
I had a problem once that you might also want to check
(but the FP guage thing will clue you in)
The diaphram in my FPR ripped and i was running full fuel pump pressure and flooding the chit out of my car. I barely made it home and MAN did it stink
If its not a leaky injector, it might be that.
good luck

Yea thanks for the help, its either or... somtimes it does it and sometimes it doesn't which leads me to believe its a leaky injector, but i also ripped my diaphram a little installing my AFPR... but i dont think its that... we'll see... if worse comes to worse ill get a new afpr with diaphram as mine was just the cap and screw. Thanks for the info!!
