fuel pump removal help
To be blunt, it is a pain in the ***, I do not think you need any special tools. But you will need to take off exhaust and suspension. If you have any old GM High-Tech Performance magazines laying around they have some pictures of replacing the fuel pump, in the Jan. 2001 issue. Once you get the gas tank down it is easy, it is just hard to get down.

I did it the easier way by cutting a square hole in the trunk and removed the pump that way. After that I pluged up the hole by cutting a piece of metal to fit the hole and riveted it very carefully.
4hours total time.
Saved lots of cash
Some people say that doing that will weaken the frame I Do Not think so. It would weaken it MAYBE if you would not cover the hole.
