New TPI TB??????

Hey people! I was just given a TPI setup from a friend who swapped his out for a miniram setup. He allowed me to take it to polish and port...I have a cople question before I went through with it though. I am more than likely going to have the base Siamesed, and port the plenum of course. But what do the front holes in the plenum Messure in MM? Becuase I was wonndering if by porting all my intake, would I benifit from a bigger TB or would it not help? Any advise is appreciated! Thank u.

That $200 or $300 used on other mods will give a lot more power than wasting it on a bigger TB. They use our stock TB's on the ramjet 502 so they should be very adequate for mods to come. Now porting/saimesing the intake is worth the time and money. Looking at the times you're turning now with the existing TPI setup, this will help a lot.

I asked TPIS what was better, Siameseing the base, or buying an aftermarket (big mouth). And of course he said the big mouth, he works for TPIS, but what have u guys know to be better? The big mouth, or a ciamesed stock intake???

I measured it, but I'm a bonehead... I dont think I wrote it down.
Oh well. Its pretty close to 48mm. Any larger TB you want to put on there will require some opening up of those holes if you want to do it right. And of course TPiS is going to tell you their base is the best, they want your $$$$. Ask Mike Davis which is better.
