Straight pipe on my T/A

does anyone know of any straight pipes you can buy that will bolt right up in place of the catylitic converter? i would like to eliminate my cat with a straight pipe on my 87 trans am. i saw one on ebay but got outbid so i was wondering i you can purchase them from a mail order place or something like that. please let me know, thanks

have you tried going to your local auto parts store and just looking at their misc. exhaust parts. You might have to buy some adapters, but it will be a lot cheaper. I think I spent like 15 bucks for a 3" straight pipe and some other little parts. Hope it helps

yeah, i was also thinking that, but i dont know where to find that round piece on the cat that connects to the pipe going to the rear...

goto a local muffler shop. 10-15 bucks custom bent if need be and will fit.

you could always just gut the cat. I assume you just want to eliminate the restriction caused by the cat, while making it look like its still there.
