Got my car running, now a quick timing ?

I finally finished my car and got it running tonight with the new Ed 6085 heads and all kinds of other stuff. Is the 8-10 degrees a pretty common setting with different setups? Just curious cause I was running 10 degrees before, but I am about 10to1 now where I was about 9.5to1 before. Any thoughts?

I'd probably start at stock, see what happens and advance it from there. Better safe than sorry. If you have a scan tool you can watch your knock counts to see if you're getting detonation. Hope this helps
