Corvette aluminum heads on ur Camaro L98
Anybody put aluminum corvette heads on your camaro L98? Did u like em or not? What kind of gains did you see? Anything special you had to do for them to work? Was it worth it? thanks
I'm running 'Vette heads on an L98 block, no complaints here.
The intake bolt pattern is the pre '86 type, where all bolts are at 90deg. If you're running an '87 or up intake you'll have to either swap it or oval out the two center holes on each side, as they're 72deg.
Also, the heads were missing one hole for the serpentine accessory bracket. I had to have the machine shop drill and tap it, just a minor nuisance as I caught it before the engine was assembled. Only a problem if you're running an '88 or up car with serp accessories.
Unfortunately the heads and engine went together an into the car at the same time, so I don't have a before/after comparison. My engine specs and 1/4mile times are on the page in my sig.

KEVINC great heads up on the missing block hole. I am planning on putting these heads on my 89 GTA. I have things apart and never noticed the missing hole. I drilled and tapped it tonight. Thanks saved me some problems for sure :hail:
