i have an 87 gta with a blow 305 tpi.
i bought an 89 gta with a 350 tpi to swap.
i took everything off of the 89 and replaced it with the 87 stuff.
i only used the computer, injectors, and heads off of the 89.
the car turns over and starts for a second or two then dies. after doing it another 2 times it doesn't start at all, just turns over, in a few minutes u can redo the process.
thanx

Could be alot of things so I'm gonna take a stab at it. Something to check. When you first hit the ignition without starting you should hear the fuel pump prime for a few seconds then stop. When you start the car there is a oil pressure switch which trips the fuel pump and keeps it running, if that switch isn't hooked up that 2 seconds of running is the fuel from the prime burning. So check and see if your fuel pump kicks when it starts briefly.
it was happening because the computer had vats

I know this because it ran on the 5.0 chip and Zephyr verified this afterwards.
