fuel pump question

Just pulled the car out of storage to bring it home and finish painting it, and I think the fuel pump is shot now. When you turn the ignition on the pump will not prime the system, and I had to dump gas in it to start it. It seems to run ok but it didn't seem to have the same power. I threw the fuel pressure gage on it, and turned the regulator up to 40 psi at idle. When I rev it out the pressure slowly drops to 20 psi. I am pretty sur the pump is shot but I want to make sure it not anything else

Connect terminal "G" on the aldl connector to ground, this will supply constant 12 volts to the fuel pump, then check your fuel pressure, it should be between 40 - 45 lbs, give or take, anything less than that you may have to change out your pump.
