When i took out my 700r4 i got a 3ft extension dropped the the rear tail shaft has far down as it would go on the jack then took i little pressure of the motor mounts by jacking it back up just a litte bit. then i got a 14mm short socket with a wobble and had know problem with any of the bolts really just takes a little time.The exhaust never got in my way of taking the transmission out.The hardest part that i had was getting to the transmission coolent lines.Good Luck
