I am finishing up my 383 and getting ready to install. What I am worried about now is if my 700r4 and rear end will hold up. The previous owner said the tranny had a performance rebuild but he has flaked out on other things so I am not sure. Anyone know how much HP/torque these tranny's can handle? I am looking at a unit from pro built automatics but I don't have the money so I am trying to make this last. Lastly do you guys think that a trip to the track with slicks will do this thing in?
