Hey i was just wondering if anyone knew exactly what trans i got in my car, i may sound stupid but i dont know, some have told me the 700r4 and they tell me its ****. Personally i havent had problems with it, never rebuilt and always been there. Anyway, if i were to drop a 350 in my car, would it work with the trans or would i need a new one?

 

look on bottom of console lid and get all the M codes, one is tranny, match it up to one in this page: https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/techdb.shtml

MD8 is 700r4, for one.. 700 has a D and and a D with a circle aorunds it on the console shift range plate, th200 does not have that, just PRNDLL
