Strongest rearaxle

Which one of the rearaxles are strongest the borg-warner on the camaro -89 or the other one that was mounted on later z28 camaros until -92.

The 9 bolt borg warner is stronger.

The 9-bolt Borg piece is reportedly stronger, and there are far fewer known cases of them failing compared to the 10-bolt GM corporate POS.

That said, the Borg is *much* more expensive to work on and aftermarket pieces are practically non-existent. If you have one, and you're happy with it, keep it.

If you're looking to build a rear, you can address the shortcomings of the 10-bolt easily with aftermarket axles, gears, and a posi.
