Cheezy torque arm

Was under the car tonight and noticed my torque arm is bent.
The bottom of the arm looks like it going up and to the left, while the top of the arm is wanting to go to the right and down. The area between the lightening holes looks like it is about to fold over on itself along the entire length, especially near the middle of the arm. Kinda like a "Z" bend starting to form.

Guess the ol' Crossfire was too much for it...

Anyone ever seen this before?

Can't really afford an aftermarket arm at the moment.

Wondering if I could remove it, pound it flat, and weld on some supports.

I'd sell you one but I'd imagine shipping would be great. I got a bunch of these.

I used the Jegster on my car, and it works great.. Its not too expencive either.

I dunno if i'd recommending pounding it and welding stuff..

If you get an aftermarket replacement, make sure it'll fit on your 9-bolt. I bought the Edelbrock torque arm and had to cut a square out of it to clear the differential housing.
