The driveshaft will have to be cut the proper amout, to make it work out ok. Ask & do what the driveshaft maker recommends. The shifter can be modified to work with an overdrive, ask around. The rest should work out ok.

Stock crossmember won't work The subframe doesn't have the holes for the later 700r4 crossmember. You can get a crossmember that will work from Spohn--http://www.spohn.net/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewproduct&productid=58
Or do like I did and cut-up and weld the stock crossmember. The torque arm is too long--it covers up the speedo hook up. I cut a few inches off of it and it works just fine. The speedo hooks up and works as well. I used a junkyard drive shaft--any third-gen/fourth gen with a 700r4/t5 will work. As for the shifter I just installed a B&M megashifter. Flexplate will work just fine. I assume the 700r4 is a lock-up type--you need some way to hook that up. I installed the TCI non-computer 700r4 lock-up kit. It will lock the converter automatically in 4th gear when the engine isn't under load--I have a bypass switch as well. Have fun.....
