Shift Kit

I have bought a Transgo (Noyoyo/Syskokal/SK 700-D) Shift Kit and a Vette Servo for my 700r4 tranny. Would you recommend that I get the Reprogramming Kit and sell the one I have. I getting ready to have the Kit install at a local Trans Shop and want my kit install, however I also want the best for my dollar. My transmission was rebuilt about 10 yrs ago and probably have less than 30,000 mile on it. My plan is to have the tranny shop go through it and see if anything is bad, before I deciede if it need to be rebuilt. Im not looking to race my car alot, but just want a quailty kit and get it done right the 1st time.

One other thing, if anyone knows a good and reasonable Transmission Shop in Augusta, Ga. please let me know.

Thanks: David

Here is the deal; With an '84 I would install both if I were after the performance advantages of the Reprogramming Kit. Here is why: On those years the Shift timing was poor and only the full SK (as you have) has the pieces to correct that. Then if you are after the increased manual control, etc. of the Repro Kit you would also need to include those pieces. If you are not really racing this and just want a more reliable, better performing Tranny you might want to just go with the SK and the 'Vette Servo.
