Did I forget anything before I start my swap?
I'm swapping my 1988 10-bolt T/A drum rear for a 1988 10-bolt disc rear. My drum rear has 3.08 gears(no posi) and the disc rear has 3.73 gears(with posi). I searched the board, viewed the tech sections and wrote up a checklist. All I'm asking from all of you is to check whether I've left anything off my list and to give me your own personal 2 cents on this swap; Pro's/Con's, tips, advice.
Here's my list:
Gm additive
Gear Oil (Synthetic or non - can't decide)
1 Pinion seal
2 Axle seals
2 Calipers
2 Rotors
1 Set of performance brake pads
Master cylinder and Proportioning valve from '86 4 wheel disc T/A
Complete emergency brake cable set
So that's my list. How does it look? Did I forget anything? Let me know and thanks in advance for your inputs.
