how much will this help performance?

I have a 88' Firebird Formula 350 TPI 700r4, I have just installed a Ford 9 inch rear end with Detroit Locker 35 spline center section and 3.70 gears from Spohn performance, I have mild upgrades such as headers, intake manifold, exhaust, and MSD ignition 6a package. Does anybody know how this rear end setup will help with performance?

The 9" will take a lot more than your basically-stock 350 can dish out, but bear in mind it's a strength part not a performance enhancer.

That bigger and heavier ring/pinion gear, bigger axles, etc. will cost you some HP to turn. You generally go with a 12-bolt or 9" when you're making major HP and at risk of failing a smaller 10-bolt rear.
