700 shifts too early

Engine: Lb9
Transmission: factory T5
Axle/Gears: 3.08 limited slip
700 shifts too early

im using the rebuilt 700 out of my 83 lg4 bird in my l69 t/a and even if i hold the shifter in 1st at wot, the tranny still shifts at like 4700, shouldnt i beable to hold it till like atleast 5500, what can i do?

Have you tried to adjust your TV cable? Im sure its not adjusted right. I believe there is a tech article on this site for that. Try that out and see if it helps.

My 85 iroc was shiffting to late kinda revvin out I adjusted the TV cable and wow what a diffrence.
I'm new to these boards but am gratefule for all the great info out here.
