ok yet again, i have searched this topic, and am still not positive for my answer.. iv got a 84 TA, it came with the LG4 and the 700r4 in it and according to https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/techdb.shtml it says it has a 3.23 gear in it??...well i found a posi out of a 86 iroc, but the gears in it were 2.73's. from what i learned from the research is that i can buy 2 series 3.73's to work with this posi. BUT im not positive if i got 3.23's or not...iv im reading that tech site right, then iv got 3.23's but i dont know what "auto std." means, so it could be something TOATLY differant.... i dont know. any help?

Take off the cover and look. If you haven't changed the fluid lately, it needs it anyway, so just go aheaad and do it.
