A few questions.......

1. What size rearend is in my 84 SC? It's got an Iron Duke & a Saginaw in it.
2. What gears are in it?
3. What gears should I go with.

Looking at rebuilding this little 2.5 with a few goodies sometime next year. Just wondering what gears to go with.

7.5" 10 bolt rear, pull the cover and count teeth to get the ratio or look for it stamped on the ring gear. what do you want out of it will help decide what gears to use.

the 2 4 cylinder cars i have seen were both 3.73 geared non-posi rearends, in the 7.5 inch 10 bolt variety, that most third gens had,

one was an automatic, and one was a 5 spd, i have no solid clue about a 4 spd car, but my guess is they are prolly the same, but counting teeth is the only way to know for sure cuz someone could have messed with it before you
