whats so special about setting up gears in a 9 bolt?

i was asking this guy about a gear swap. i currently have a 4th gen rear with 3.42s and i was thinking about going back to 9 bolt and buying some 4.10s or 4.56s. the guy said he would do a gear swap on the 10 bolt 4th gen rear but he wouldnt do the 9 bolt? whats the big deal about setting up the 9 bolt?

yeah nothing, if he doesn't know that i'd look for someone else. after you've done one they're all about the same, 9" 8.75 mopar, 9, 10, and 12 bolts. you check and set the same thing in a ll of them, how you do it is differant, but basically it's all the same.
