some one w/ transmission knowledge please help!

ok, so i originally had the stock metric 200 in, and ripped it out and stuffed a trubo 350 into it for the sake of having a stronger transmission. well my speedo is off 15 mph faster, no big news...but i want to get it fixed. i was told to find out what the original driven and speedo gear's were ( gear ratio, number of teeth ) but i have no idea where to start and which exact model i had. all i know is it was the original transmission in my 1982 z 28 metric 200..... blah blah. if anyone can help in anyway please let me know. i dont feel like playing guessing games and paying the guy 70 bucks every time we try somthing new....
thanks alot

The ones in your 200 should transfer over to your 350. If that is no longer an option, you need a couple of pieces of info, that no one on this BBS is going to be able to gather for you. You'll have to do it yourself.

First thing you need to know is your tire diameter. Pull out a tape measure, don't rely on any kind of formula.

The other thing you need to know is your gear ratio. Take off the cover and look, don't rely on any kind of codes or markings or tags. They are the road to error and frustration.

Then go to the dealer and order the speedo gears for that combination, in some car that came with a T-350.
