Hey TPIGUY, I've got a '91Z that was swapped to an auto and I can tell you it's been nothing but problems. The biggest being wiring the transmission, the wiring harnesses on auto/manual trans cars are different and if you don't swap it out you'll need a trans shop to wire it, and for them to do it properly will cost some $$$. Then you'll need a custom burnt prom chip to lower your idle speed, and an auto speedo sending unit and speedo gears, assuming the trans you're getting doesn't have the right ones. I'm gonna convert it all back to manual as soon as i get the dough.

Switching to a 700R4 is worth it to him if that's what he wants to do. I took out my T5 because I started hating it in traffic. Plus I could never get a decent launch with it while racing on the street. Now I got a built 700R4 and couldnt be happier! To switch you'll need.... VSS for 700R4, shifter and shifter cable, tranny fluid lines that go to the radiator, torque converter bolts, flexplate, shorter flexplate bolts, 700R4 style torque arm bracket and that's about it.
