another question for auto to t56 swap
can someone please post a pic of the hole you cut for the t56 shifter to pop through?
also what keeps the heat from the exhaust from flowing in, there has to be more than the upper "cosmetic" leather shift boot.

where do i get the lower shift boot from?
i know where to put the hole for the shifter, im just not sure how large it should be, i have one that we cut last night that is about 5 x 6 1/4 inches and i think it may be too big, how big did you guys cut yours?

I don't remember the exact dimensions but I think it was something similar to that. The only problem is, the shifter should be centered in the hole. I used a piece of floorboard with the hole already cutout that I got from a 4th gen. That was a huge help. I still have it for sale if you are interested.
Here is the part number for the lower boot I think
Lower Shift/Heat Boot (4th Gen) 10267518
If the hole is too big, you might have to do a little patching. I know mine is right on the edge and next time i open the console I will patch a piece back in.
