Avoid the B&M Shift Improver Kit... and also avoid the B&M Transpak. ($45 B&M Transpak = $25 B&M Shift Improver Kit with a $20 trans filter, nothing else changes!) Not sure about the 1/4 time, I never ran before & after I put the kit in. It definately makes the car feel like a completely different "animal" though! Well worth the $120 for the TransGo kit! (Even though I put the B&M kit in back in '97,
)
) I would say nothing. If you get the TransGo Reprogramming kit, you are gaining the longevity and reliability that TransGo offers. If you install one of those "other" kits, you may loose time. One thing that kills 1/4 mile times is traction loss. When you "scratch" 2nd and 3rd, thats exactly what you do, loose traction. This is just my 2¢, though.
