Quick Question?

i have bought a transgo "JR" shift kit for a 700r4, it says to drill into the pump. do you really need to drill into the pump?
i was told you dont have to but once the trans gets into the 120,000 miles on it, you may have a problem. is this true?
thanks

i have a 92 rs with a 305 tbi, 78,000 miles

Skip the drilling in the front pump, you are not the one they are speaking about. This was directed toward the 1982-1987 early pump setups, that had drain back problems.
