b&M shift kit

i have a b&m shift kit to put in my 700, now im looking for some feedback, ive seen a lot of good and bad things about these, but also good/bad things about transgo, now ive done the b&m kit before, and i was just wondering, will a b&m perform well if it is correctly installed?

When installed as per instructions they have a very hard 1-2 part throttle shift in most cases, not so good 2-3 shift, etc. Having torn down hundreds of automatics (in the last 25+ years), I have not seen a B&M come in working correctly or without some damage, on any kind of unit.

I installed one on a customers V6 bird, no problems yet. The thing is with the B&M Shift Improver is to install the RV set on a good 700R4. The RV kit will not ruin the transmission and if you drill the feed holes properly you should have a firm shifting transmission in 1,2 and 3rd 4th is still weak. DO not install the SS kit it will ruin the transmission! The LB blocker rod supplied in the kit allows the tranmission to shift full blast and thats what eats clutches up.
I was totally supprised with the end result and if all the kit installs worked out that good Id give them a thumbs up but like probuilt Ive seen some B&M SIK installs turn out very badly.
