Had a strip run on Saturday - no lights
My car (see sig.) hangs up around 5500 rpm waiting for the 1-2 & 2-3 shift on the 700R4,(done manually) so it went into the MSD limiter at 6000 rpm waiting for the upshift, and it all turned out to be a horrible run
To avoid it I had to shift at just before 5000 - which seemed way too early - but it shifted and the car ran better
why the hang up? - I have the Transgo kit but retained full auto shift - its been about 6 years since the rebuild and 3 since the shift kit
it doesn't slip or sound like its slipping
I have a (too big for my 305) non lockup TCI competition 10in converter and modified the pump TCC valve to take the non - lockup
Would any of this cause it ? Any thoughts on my problem
there is no computer operational although the tranny connector is still connected - I think!
