furnance brazing vs TIG welding TC fins

Wondering if TIG welding with silicon bronze is better then furnace brazing fins because it may not distort as much?
Fact, fiction?

i'm not expert on furnace brazing, but tig would use more heat and it would be more localized. tig welding would also actually fuse the parts together while braze would just stick them without any fussion.
