You mean for mounting the torque arm? GM doesn't have one but I believe Hurst and B&M do.

yeah for mounting the arm yeah, heres what was told:

Quote:
"b&m tells you to buy apart # from
the dealer , it mounts to the b&m bracket and the torque arm bolts to
it. the b&m bracket bolts to where your tailshaft bolts to the back of
your tranny and works with the 6 or 9 inch tail"

?

thanks

The part they are talking about that you would get from GM is the one that's already on your car.

Save yourself some hassle, just use the one that's there, get the right poly bushing for it to match your particular design torque arm (there are 3 IIRC, you just have to look), and stick it on the B&M bracket.

come on randy i'm not feeding you a line the instructions that come with kit state to order #10024028 or #10034259 depending on your torque arm having a inny or a outy. order the kit for $80 and find out.

Those are the brackets that you already have the right one of if you have a car with a trans in it. You don't need another one, you just take the one you have and mount it on the B&M kit.

randy stated in the classified ads that he wanted the bracket to put in a th350. i replied that i had one with the dealer bracket already installed for $25. i bought my v6 car not running and installed the 400 and th350 from the start.i'm not real familar with the stock setup. the only reason i mentioned it to him was to show him he was getting a deal, not knowing this i paid $80 for the B&M kit and $12 for the gm bracket. just trying to help a fellow third genner out and i get the empression he thinks i'm trying to rip him off. oh well back to the parts pile

Jegs sells the Hurst adapter kit for ~125. I used the t400 version and it had everything I needed.

I have used the B&M bracket with a 9" tail TH-350 before. As I recall I only hit one minor problem. The speedometer hole in the bracket was orientated wrong. They left room to take the speedometer housing retainer bolt out, but it was something like 90 degrees off. No big deal, otherwise all bolted up and worked fine. In fact, it even works with a 700R4 with a little grinding.
