Differnces in 3550s and TKOs

let me see if I got this straight

All 3550s have 10spline inputs (unless otherwise modified by forte or someone) and C4 output yokes.
All TKOs have 26spline inputs and C6 (31spile) outputs

The mod II of each trans is the only way to get the improved strength third and .82 overdrive

For a 3550 to fit a GM- fbody, it needs to have a different bellhousing, speedo conversion, and shifter location. (and the torque arm mount)..

What else is there I forgot..

Anybody know if a mod 2 (II) third gear can be fitted to a non-mod 2 case? I guess it can unless you are talking 3550 to tko switch...
I hear a 2.95 first gear will be available in june-july..
