9-bolt Questions........ Miles please help

Im planning on swaping my rearend out of my 88 GTA parts car.(disc brake 3.27) and installing it in my 91 Formula.

I have the car on jackstand off the ground and I was spinning the left tire and the right side didnt move. I thought if you spun 1 wheel the other was supposed to spin in the same direction?
Its the same way on both sides, the left is easier to turn than the right. Is this normal on the 9-bolts or should they both turn by spinning one wheel?

The car has 104.000 miles on it and Iam hoping the posi unit is good.

Any help would help

Thanks

With a good posi, they should both turn. If you lock one wheel, it should take ~40lbft to rotate the other wheel. Any less and the posi is wearing out.

If you spin one wheel and the other does nothing (when on jack stands), it sounds like the posi is worn out and the brakes are dragging just enough to prevent the wheel from turning.
