Trans guys: How do U get the case xtension bushing out??
I'm replacing the leaking rear trans oil seal and installing an aluminum D/S in my '91 RS (700 R4) while I'm at it. I got a seal kit and with the kit comes the case extension bushing, the round babbit lined bushing the yoke rides on.
How do you get this piece OUT of the trans? GM probably has a tool for this, but how do I get it out?
Thanks all

If you take the ext hsg off, you can use a cam bearing tool. Trans shops have a puller that they use without disassembling anything. You can probably "rent" a bushing knocker from Auto Zone or that type place.

Thanks guys. I just left it in there. Too much hassle and the one in there looked pretty good anyway.
