Alright 9bolt guys...

okay i have a ton of question so be paintent, thanx.

well i just bought a 9bolt posi rear with disk brakes. the guy said it had alittle over 100,XXX miles on it when he took it out of his 87 TA. the thing is that the tag on it says it has 2.77 gears. what kinda gears can i get put into the rear thats better for the 1/4 and street? also i found out that the 10 bolt i have now in the car the one owner that knows a crap load about the car then anyone told my brother he put a posi in there and mine is probably worn out. and i was wounderin is there any way i could use the disk brakes off of the 9 bolt and use it on my 10bolt?( the 10 bolt has drums) Also what kinda axels came in the 9 bolt? did they have 26 or 28 spline axels?

also did i make a bad choice in buyin this rear end? becuz im not sure if the 10 bolt i have has different gears in it or not. if i jack the car up and spin the driveshaft which wheel do i look at to mark to find out what gears i have in the 10 bolt? becuz i dont want to go from if theres like say 3.45 gears in the 10 bolt and go to 2.77's. would goin from if there is 3.45 gears to 2.77's would that hurt my proformance any?

i know ill have more questions about this but these are all the ones off the top of my head right now becuz i think i made a bad mistake on buyin this rear end.

The 9 bolt is an very strong rear end (much more than the 10 bolt), but parts are more expensive. All the info you need is at www.9bolt.com
