700r4 4-3 Downshift Switch

Just installed a B&M shift kit in my 700r4 (1986, no auxilary valve body). There are two wires that connect to the 4-3 Downshift pressure switch. There is one wire from the Solenoid assembly that is red and one from the wiring terminal in the transmission case, this wire is also red. which wire goes to which terminal?

I am looking in my ATSG Service manual but it does indicate which wire goes on which terminal.

The pressure switch labeled A in the picture is the one I am refering to.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter.

From: Newark,NJ The state where racing on I 78 rules.
Sometimes U can figure something like that out by laying the wires in the some what same original position & observing the natural way the wires are laying & toward what switch they reach the easiest.

As I read your post it sounds like you are concerned if the red terminals attach to different tabs on the pressure switch.

Both wires connect to the same switch. it does not matter which red wire to which terminal since the switch connects the two together electrically when the switch is pressurized.

FWIW..... I am glad that my photo possibly helped you.

At least the jpg has the same name.

Thanks Crosley. The help is much appreciated, Finally I can put my tranny back together with a clear conscious that it won't break, atleast from the switch anyway.
