runnign th350 minus the kickdown cable ?

anyone know of anything bad that could happen by running stock th350 without cable connected ??

You won't have the kick-down via the throttle. Driving along around 40 mph, then floor it to pass someone--no kickdown, the tranny will stay in 3rd until you manually pull it down. Why, because the tranny doesn't 'know' you just floored it--as far as it can tell you are just idling along. Probably not a good idea, it can slip the torque converter enough to overheat the tranny if you don't downshift when needed.

I run without one. Th350 with 2400 B&M converter. Its only temporary for me though, I have maybe 2000 miles on it. WOrks great. like what was said, you will have to manually downshift. no biggy.
