Work involved/cost to swap rear gears...
I was doing some thinking, and did not want to step up to taller tires for fear of slowing down acceleration. But I have two good tires, and instead of buying 4 tires, I could use the money saved on two tires to pay the cost of 3.73 gears and get better acceleration anyways and lose my current ghetto 14" look. But I take it this isnt a job I can do in my garage. I currently have 3.23 factory posi in my car. How much would a shop cost me to place 3.73 gears in there, or is this something I could do given a manual and some tools?
Also this is a really stupid question, but what type of rear end do I have in the car? Im learning the best I can, and right now anything past the flexplate I have no clue about. This week in fact I will get a crash course in instaling a trans go shift kit and corvette servo. My father has done shift kits and can help me with this, but neither him nor I have attempted to take a crack at swapping rear end gears.

Most shops will charge you $250 for a gear swap, but that is only labor.
