I am trying to correct my speedo on my '82 Z28 with a T10 so that it reads correctly with the 3.73's I have installed. The car came from the factory with 3.23's.I was told I can use T5 gears to correct it but the gear I need..GM #14090594 21 tooth orange is discontinued.I have done multiple searches on here and many other sites to no avail. One thing I did come across is a part number from a chevelle site that listed numbers for older 4 speed speedo gears..namely part# 3987921..21 tooth red gear also able to fit Th350 autos. This one is still available.Question is..does anyone know if older 4 speed..say Muncie speedo gears will work on my newer Borg Warner T10???Many thanks for any and all info.

Muncie gears will not work.... they use a little hole in the mainshaft and a clip that goes under the gear and the mainshaft is smooth, where the Warners use splined gears, and the mainshaft has the same splines as the output yoke.
T-5 gears should work if your output shaft is the same size as a T-5 (T-350 or M-21 size). If it's the M-22, Super T-10 and T-400 size, they won't.
I seem to remember my 79 Z28 4-speed (Super T-10) using a 21-tooth red gear.

Many thanks RB83L69..I will have to search out some other possibilities.
