would my TH700r4 trans bolt up to an LS1 engine? i have a friend selling an LS1 from a 99 trans am with only like 10k miles on it so i would hate to pass it up, only $600 for the complete engine. so if anyone has any info for me lemme know. thanks

No it won't. You'll need the newer 4L60E and a computer to control the shift points. Well, if you install a LS1 then you will have that computer then anyways. I'm still waking up.

The TH700 will NOT bolt up. You will not need a new driveshaft to fit a T-56 and the 4L60E I am not sure of the length. Nor will you need a different rear. But many more complications will come with an LS1 swamp that will add to the cost.
what kind of complications are we talking about here? i know the comp and wiring ill have to change, and the trans, motor mounts, and trans mounts and the trans crossbrace. any other big things you know of off hand? thanks
