i have a 700r4 tranny in my 85 trans am and i just swapped the 305 for a 350 and am having trouble setting the detent cable. i set it and then when i drove it it wont shift till right at 300rpm and then when you stomp it, it doesnt have a passing gear. so i messed with it a little and got it to wear its shifting good and taking off hard but at about 40 mph and when you stomp it there is nothing. what way do i pull the detent cable adjustment? in or out? wich way will make it kick down? thanks
